What is Sammy’s Surf School?

Sammy had my five year old daughter up surfing on her third wave. She has never surfed before. He is kind, patient, and makes the lesson just so much fun. We’ve surfed almost every day this week with Sammy now…and she keeps on asking for more lessons. Can’t recommend Sammy enough!

About Me

My name is Sam Oliva, born and raised in Ocean City, NJ. I started surfing at the age of 6 and have been teaching for the past 10 years. As a past competitive surfer, I’ve learned how to navigate the competitive environment, however my core remains with free surfing outside of contests. My love for surfing has turned into a passion to teach others; from the fundamentals to advanced techniques. At the end of the day, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing my students having fun in the water!
